I would mix Kraft macaroni and cheese, green peas, corn and ketchup together on my plate as a kid. My own little casserole. Yum.

I usually just get the kernals and pop em in a pan with olive oil and just add plain old salt. I eat it like meal sometimes. At the movies as a kid, I used to get JUST the nacho cheese and a bag of popcorn and dip the popcorn in the cheese.

Thanks. I enjoy writing of all kinds -- blogs, articles, poetry, etc. Someday I want to write a book. See a compilation of my work at http://jamesyoakum.synthasite.com. There's a link on this page. Where can I see you stuff?

Sounds crazy but I ate popcorn like this growing up as a kid. It was my Mom's way of fixing popcorn. She got the recipe from her Dad. I don't eat that way too often now (though sometimes I can't resist the temptation). Now I opt for the more healthy microwave popcorn. Do you have a favorite or usual way of cooking popcorn?

They are hard to find, but hard plastic microwaveable popcorn poppers exist. They come in many sizes; you can get an individual sized container. Portion controlled and healthy. How can you beat that.

Just read through some of the blogs. Just posted on the popcorn section for a nice low fat recipe. Keep up the good work from -Team at Silverback.

Cool blog. I usually make my own microwavable pop corn. I mix the kernels with olive oil so it's nice and healthy. then I place it in a brown paper lunch bag. Crease the top to seal and then I just pop it in the microwave like one of those pre-made microwavable popcorn bags. Nice and low fat.
